The RDI’s purpose and mission is to prep the underserved Neighborhoods targeted by the RDI for prime development and redevelopment and to provide the following Neighborhood improvements: new lighting – street and public places; landscaping and beautification – to include the planting of thousands of trees and development of Parks; public safety – the shutting down the haunts of ill repute that tolerate criminal activity and to enlist and to hire guard patrols to work out of the new Neighborhood Centers,

Beyond this, the RDI intends to ally with the Banks to fulfill their sworn duties and responsibilities under the banking laws- to include the Community Reinvestment Act and Fair Housing Act – to make available the Community Development Lending to enable the RDI to build the much-needed Hi Tech Centers – to train coders and programmers; Apprenticeship Facilities – to train machinists; electricians and carpenters and Neighborhood Centers. 

These much needed facilitates will stabilize the targeted Neighborhoods in such a manner as to attract the Banks’ own investments; to attract other private investments and to attract the municipal investments in the same way the private and public investments are made on the other side of town in the majority Anglo Neighborhoods in Houston.

In addition, the RDI intends to design and to develop the clean, green thriving middle-class Neighborhoods and to build the relatively large homes – 4,000 square feet – with the full complement of the amenities that make for “livable space” here in 2022.

The RDI is to be the new state of the art Neighborhood Development Corporation and will set the new standards for what an elite Development Corporation is to look like.
